I'm calling BS. Star Wars is not about the fall of American Exceptionalism. This person is all alone in that theory. It's pretty wacked-out.
Also, if this movie is in danger of throwing out "the good with the bad" concerning the prequels, I don't really think I will lose any sleep over that. There is NOTHING redeeming about those steaming piles. Name ONE thing that is good about them. Even Sam Jackson's acting was awful, and he had the sole potential to save them from mediocrity.
I think this guy (gal?) really likes to hear himself talk, even if it's only 120 characters at a time.
I liked Klimo's efforts at breaking down the structural elements of the prequels and how they relate to the original series, but I'm still not convinced they are good movies. Klimo has however persuaded me to re-watch the prequels in anticipation of Episode 7, whereas before reading his thesis I had only planned on watching the originals.
Interesting stuff. I thought the politics of the prequels were pretty facile, myself, but I did appreciate the attempt at whatever Lucas was doing, even if it wasn't easy to make out in its specifics. All the Ebony White-style "friendly" racism in the first prequel made it a little hard for me to approach.

Oh, hi there, welcome to the Internet. And welcome to this blog as well since I've been defending the prequels for over ten years and counting.
Of course I like to hear myself talk - which is why, if you don't like personal blogs, maybe you shouldn't read them.
